Real World Results- Aaron Takes It To The Lake

I love the term Real World Results. They’re what you get from committing to and completing P90X and Insanity— something Aaron (as a founding HDIGF follower and a case study in successful P90X completion and achieving HIS goals) has been experiencing over the last few months.

This last weekend, Aaron hit up wakeboarding. If you’ve tried the sport, you know it requires short bursts of upper body strength as you’re dragged out of the water at 20-30 mph and long, endurance challenging bouts of lower body endurance as you ride your board through chop, maintain balance and bound over wakes. As a movie critic roughly a year ago, Aaron could barely walk 5 steps to the press section without losing his breath. His basketball game was best termed as “loafy white guy”. He didn’t like swim suits.

This year, Aaron runs theater steps for fun, can’t wait to get in a swimsuit, hit the court or have his picture taken with his shirt off– Persian chest rug and all. And you know what? That’s AWESOME because it’s a goal Aaron set out to make happen and has seen reults big-time.

In his own words:

It had been a while since I last wakeboarded. Probably a few years. The moment I popped out of the water I could feel I was stronger. The lake was pretty rough, so it made it even harder to hold on, but having spent the last year doing P90X and Insanity I felt like I could hold on through even the near white cap waves. Don’t get me wrong, the day after I was as sore as I’ve ever been, but there’s no way I would have been able to hold myself up if I didn’t have the added muscle and endurance I got from working out with P90X and Insanity.

Strong results. I’m a former 3 event water skier and current wake boarder and I can also testify that P90X made me better on the board than I’ve ever been. congrats Aaron, that’s gold.
