How Do I Get Fit - P90X, Insanity and Beachbody fitness Coaching. You can change your body. This is the place to start.

Cap Your P90X Achievement With A Marathon. Or Not.

One of the great things about P90X and Insanity are the way these workout programs translate into real-world success– IE, it’s not just about looking good– it’s about being able to DO things you may not have been able to before. For example, I chopped two minutes off my personal best running time in a relay I ran earlier this year after going through a hybrid program of Insanity and P90X. I run circles around friends in pick-up games, I can jump higher, run longer, manage stairs like I was strolling down the sidewalk and I can lift, carry and play with my kids without taxing myself or panting like a ran a marathon. It’s the little things… but little things you notice when you’re out in the real world.

Once people get into their fighting shape, there’s lots of things to get after and accomplish– I know plenty of grads who’ve entered marathons. For the record, a marathon isn’t something I’ve ever put down as a must-do– ice baths, achy joints and running 26 long miles is a feat knocked out by a select breed of (read: border-line insane?) people. Still, I’ve got the back of anyone who wants to give it a shot.

That said, since we’re quickly moving into marathon season and we’ve had so many P90X grads… you may appreciate this little nugget from Improv Asylum:
