When it comes to the P90X workout, you either get results or you don’t. And if you don’t, well… you didn’t do the program. Not that anyone would ever mistake Fernando for someone who tried P90X and gassed out. No, Fernando took P90X and owned it. Faster, Better, Stronger. P90X poster boy?

What Got You Started With P90X?

I wanted to get into Martial Arts. I needed to strengthen myself, build endurance and stamina. I also hated the way I looked in the mirror.

How Did You Motivate Yourself to Follow P90X Fitness Path Every Day?

I am a huge fan of anything related to Chinese martial arts. It motivated me to keep training my body, using P90x. I tried Insanity but two weeks going into it, it totally destroyed my ankles. It was too much jump training for me, so I went back to P90x and never looked back.

How Did You Eat During Your P90X Transformation?

I ate white rice, bland chicken, potatoes, beans, whole wheat pasta, ground turkey… some occasional red meat. At that time when I started, I was shredding way too fast. I wasn’t eating enough. Now, I can’t seem to stop. I am always hungry!

What’s Next With Your Fitness?

I am doing a modified round of P90x, building more muscle. I plan on moving forward in the X series. Right now, I am also doing Les Mills Combat that’s helping with stamina and agility. I hate working out my legs! Thanks to Les Mills, I feel the pain but in a good way.

How Has Your P90X Transformation Helped In Your Every Day Life And Ultimate Goals?

I run faster, I have more explosive push power especially when it comes to punching (Les Mills Combat), and I feel BETTER. I always had that confidence regardless of how I looked. Difference is I just feel happier when I see my reflection.

What obstacles have you faced in your journey?

The only obstacle I had was when I destroyed my ankles doing Insanity. I probably landed wrong. Haha. Other than that, I continued with P90x.

What’s the best advice you could give someone who may be just starting out?

Just keep putting that DVD in and PRESS PLAY.

What Advice Would You Give Other Considering P90X?

Just get your mind right. Once you get your mind right, do it at that EXACT moment. You gotta WANT to do it.
